As crucial as educating ourselves on the quickly changing environment, climate change, and the state of the world, it can also be very overwhelming.
As we continue to advocate for climate and environmental justice, it is critical that we address our own needs, specifically our need for rest and reflection. "Activists fixate on the future: impatient for the world we want to see. But falling into the capitalist trap of ceaseless productivity leads to burnout." - Janey Starling. This month's project is a series of environmental reflections centering on rest and grounding ourselves in nature. So that we can refocus, regroup and continue this vital work! Remember: rest is an important part of work, not the opposite of work. |
