Conscious Consumption Project |
Partnered with RAD Cohort ( Youth Climate Lab) and Marina de Pina-Jenkins (@unaterra.ca) we have designed and implemented a week long campaign (January 9th-15th 2022) talking about conscious consumption in Canada. The aim of the conscious consumption project is to get people thinking about their food, where it comes from, how it gets to the table and the impact that these systems have on the environment. Content was published on Create Change Collective (Instagram), r-landriau.weebly.com (blog posts), Youth Climate Lab (Instagram) and Unaterra.ca (website, Instagram and Facebook).
RAD Cohort Overview
RAD Cohort -- Research, Activate, Deepen -- is a youth-centered & youth-led climate justice program that will support 15 youth participants of plural identities across Canada to explore the intersections between the 2030 SDG Agenda and climate-related interests in their communities. RAD Cohort aims to foster & highlight the importance of youth-led collaboration to achieve the SDGs, while integrating a justice-oriented understanding to the 2030 Agenda. The ultimate goal is to equip youth with the skills, resources, and connections to transform their communities in ways that are collaborative, intersectional, bold, and relevant to them.

The cohort is a partnership accelerator that will support 15 youth of plural identities across Canada to explore the intersections between SDG 13 and the rest of the 2030 Agenda by:
- Researching to identify gaps and opportunities in their communities;
- Activating new partnerships in their communities to address these; and
- Deepening connections made by shaping/hosting “projects” to advance radical collaboration.
The program aims to:
- Further Canada’s implementation of the 2030 Agenda by identifying gaps in current Sustainable Development Goals(SDG) action across various communities, facilitating a minimum of 5 youth-led projects on the 2030 Agenda, with a particular emphasis on climate action (SDG13) & collaboration;
- Leverage the participation of 15 youth in the RAD process to strengthen or create intersectional, inclusive and innovative partnerships on the SDG across Canada; and,
- Increase awareness of the 2030 Agenda across Canada through creative digital communications showcasing the importance and intersectionality of the SDGs, and amplifying the people, partners and solutions of the program.
