Running water is a 40 page activity booked centered around water conservation, security and health. The aim of the project is to be a starting point to get individuals to think about the water around them and near to them. In Canada water security is not even a thought for most people as we have the most fresh water of any country in the world, however for Indigenous communities this is not the case. Many northern communities deal with water scarcity and boil water advisories and yet this is not discussed in the media. I want to bring to light these discussions in addition to talking about other water related issues, such as plastic pollution, chemical pollution, and climate change. |

Rae is currently working with Indigenous Youth Futures Partnership to assist the the creation of resources for the Sioux Lookout. Content from Running Water will be used within this project and be distributed to community members.
